Protocol Education are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school near Sunderland that is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, moderate learning difficulties, communication challenges and sensory processing needs. Staff work collaboratively to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where pupils are encouraged to reach their full potential. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ academic progress and personal development. Responsibilities will include: • Planning and delivering engaging and accessible lessons • Supporting pupils with communication and social interaction • Creating a structured and supportive classroom environment • Working alongside Teaching Assistants and specialist staff • Encouraging pupils to develop independence and confidence • Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP reviews The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to supporting pupils with SEND. Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Candidates should ideally have a DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to apply for one through Protocol Education.
