A highly respected specialist school in South London/Surrey is seeking an experienced Band 6 School Nurse to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a full-time role supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including those with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD).
This is an excellent opportunity for a Registered Nurse who is confident managing complex care and is looking to transition into a rewarding educational setting.
Key Responsibilities for a Senior School Nurse:
Provide high-quality nursing care to students with complex health needs
Perform procedures including tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, and ventilatory support
Deliver clinical training and supervision to school staff
Act as lead nurse in the absence of the Lead School Nurse
Collaborate with families and external healthcare providers to ensure consistent care planning
Maintain accurate records in line with NMC standardsRole Requirements:
NMC Registered Nurse (Children’s or Learning Disabilities preferred)
Experience with complex clinical care in paediatric or SEND settings
Experience managing a team of Nurses and Care Assistants
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary teamWhat’s on Offer?

Monday to Friday schedule – no weekends or night shifts
Full-time, permanent contract (52 weeks per year)
