We are seeking an experienced, talented and ambitious senior nurse/operational manager for the role of Head of Site Management at YGC.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will lead and ensure excellence in the delivery of the hospital’s site patients flow processes. Responsibilities include:
* Overall leadership, management and strategic development of the Site Management function, ensuring effective patient flows for scheduled and unscheduled care.
* Provide leadership for clinical services and strategy within the area of responsibility, reporting directly to the Hospital Director of Operations.
* Accountable for all staff within the site team, including nursing and clinical staff.
* Manage the budget and physical resources for the area of responsibility.
* Oversee the process and systems for patient flows, including the 4‑hour emergency care standard and the number of cancelled operations due to bed availability.
Fluency in Welsh is desirable but not essential.

Essential criteria
* Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject.
* Evidence of ongoing professional/managerial development.
* Managerial qualification.
* Professional / managerial development equivalent to a master’s degree.
* Registered as an RGN or Allied Health Professional.
* ENB 998 (Teaching & Assessing) or equivalent.
Experience

* Substantial experience operating effectively at a senior level within the organisation.
