The team

You will report to the Communities Active Travel Manager, part of the Transport Travel and Safety team. The team sits within the Transport Strategy division of the Growth, Highways and Infrastructure Directorate.

The team works with internal partners across Suffolk County Council, including Public Health and external organisations. We are a lively and proactive team which is pragmatic and solutions focussed.

The team works in a range of settings within the community, including hubs, schools, colleges, workplaces and housing estates, and we support people to travel safely and sustainably.

Empowering Everyone

We're big believers in potential, possibility and the power of different ideas. We're always searching for ways to encourage, respect and enable everyone to be the best they can be. We want to represent the diverse communities we serve. We welcome applications from all individuals, especially those from groups that are currently underrepresented in the organisation, as shown in our Workforce Equality Report.
