Sales Director – UK & EMEA | Switchgear | Executive Leadership Role
📍 Location: UK or Central Europe (Remote/Home Based)
🌍 Coverage: United Kingdom, Europe, Middle East & Africa
A large global switchgear manufacturer is seeking a strategic Sales Director to lead commercial growth across the UK and EMEA region. This role includes responsibility for a sales and specification team of 10+ people, offering a chance to shape regional strategy and drive long-term growth within an established international business.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will:
• Develop and execute a high-impact sales strategy across the EMEA region
• Lead, mentor, and motivate a cross-border team of sales and specification professionals (10+ staff)
• Expand relationships with key partners including OEMs, panel integrators, distributors, consultants, and end users
• Identify new market opportunities and strengthen existing revenue streams
• Oversee growth of service and retrofit offerings within the region
• Contribute to senior-level decision making as part of the leadership team
• Knowledge of Low Voltage and/or Medium Voltage Switchgear, Protection and Control, Switchboards, Transformers, Circuit Protection, Circuit Breakers, 11-33KV Switchgear etc would be an advantage
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
• Significant sales leadership experience in the switchgear or closely related electrical industry
• Proven track record managing UK regional sales or international teams and achieving revenue growth
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire a team of 10+ sales professionals
• Strategic mindset with hands-on commercial capability
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Willingness to travel across the UK and EMEA region
