Workshop Service Advisor

As part of our Workshop Service Advisor team, you'll engage in daily customer interactions, both face-to-face and through formal communication channels such as phone and email. This role involves liaising with multiple Head Office departments, our branches, and the general public.


Core Responsibilities

1. Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing the exceptional customer service expected at U-Drive.
2. Handle enquiries via telephone, email, and in person with a friendly, professional tone.
3. Manage MOT bookings effectively, optimizing lane utilization to maximize efficiency and profitability.
4. Accurately input data into the booking system.
5. Process invoices and payments as required.
6. Provide quotes based on customer needs.
7. Ensure Job Cards and Service Maintenance and Repairs are raised and processed correctly and timely.
8. Order parts from approved suppliers, tracking costs and availability.
9. Maintain and update Health & Safety records, complying with regulations.
10. Keep the office and reception area clean, tidy, and welcoming.

U-Drive is recruiting a positive, proactive Workshop Service Advisor to join our support team at the Poole Workshop. Working a 40-hour week on a rolling rota, including some Saturdays, you'll be the face of the business, handling customer queries from quotes and bookings to payments. Successful candidates should demonstrate:

* A sunny disposition with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on high-quality customer service.
* Knowledge of managing various payment systems, including credit cards, internet sales, and cash.
* Prompt and effective response to customer inquiries, aiming to improve service continually.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, suitable for various situations.
* A team player with a can-do attitude, honesty, and trustworthiness.
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple requests efficiently.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
