Support worker - day & night shifts

Flitwick
Macintyre
Support worker
Posted: 23 June
Offer description

Could you support two young men with learning disabilities to live gloriously ordinary - and wonderfully meaningful - lives?
We're looking for thoughtful, compassionate people to join a small, friendly team in Flitwick, supporting two young men in their new home as they build happy, independent lives.
David, who's in his 40's and discovering the freedom of doing things for himself - like going to the pub or a coffee shop. Going to stables to ride his favourite horse, or going to a disco as he loves music. With your support, David will continue to grow in confidence and independence, in ways that feel right for him.
Joe is registered blind and Alfie, will communicates with body language or button, but that does not stop them being passionate about going out and exploring new places, or just going out for a drive. Your team will help them build structure, try new things and feel proud of who they are becoming.
It's about walking alongside people, celebrating achievements both big and small, and helping shape lives that feel real, valued, and full of meaning.
You'll be part of the trusted team helping Alfie and Joe live the lives they choose - filled with purpose, joy, and belonging.
That means supporting them with everyday routines like cooking, cleaning, and shopping, but more importantly, helping them feel happy and empowered. Full and part-time roles available (37.5 hours a week, minimum of 15 hours a week, please state in supporting statement)
During term time : Shifts are 2:30pm-10:30pm, with additional early and late weekend shifts
During non-term time : Shifts will vary and include both early and late shifts across weekdays and weekends
You'll be joining a welcoming, close-knit team who care deeply about person-centred support - and who believe everyone deserves to live a life filled with laughter, choice, and connection.
If you're ready to support Alfie and Joe as they shape their futures, we'd love to hear from you.
*Please note, we are currently unable to offer sponsorships as we await further guidance from the Home Office. You must hold a full UK manual driving licence, as being able to travel opens up more opportunities for Alfie and Joe to do the things they enjoy and visit the places that matter to them.
