Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

A long-established, global manufacturing business that produces highly engineered, precision products for a range of industries including aerospace, automotive, energy and medical is growing.
They are looking for a Senior Supplier / Front-End Quality Engineer to join their Customer Quality function - a highly visible role partnering closely with engineering, operations, procurement and external suppliers to drive a culture of right first time and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
The Opportunity
You’ll be at the forefront of supplier development and incoming quality excellence—evaluating new suppliers, driving performance improvements, leading audits and influencing stakeholders at all levels. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on, collaborative manufacturing environment and enjoys building strong supplier relationships while solving complex quality challenges.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Evaluate potential new suppliers and assess capability against industry standards and internal requirements.
* Track and report supplier quality KPIs, lead performance reviews and manage corrective/preventive actions.
* Chair monthly supplier development meetings, focusing on underperforming suppliers and driving sustained improvement.
* Lead root cause analysis with engineering and operations teams to prevent repeat issues.
* Maintain supplier quality documentation and support updates to the QMS.
What You’ll Bring
* Degree/HND in an engineering discipline.
* 10+ years in a manufacturing quality role with strong experience in ISO9001.
* Experience developing suppliers and improving supply chain performance.
* Strong problem-solving skills and working knowledge of tools such as 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa, PDCA, Pareto and 5 Whys.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across engineering, materials, procurement and suppliers.
* Internal and supplier audit experience (ISO9001).
