We’re supporting our client in their search for an experienced Inspector to join their team, providing high-quality inspection services across the North West region. You’ll work closely with clients in key sectors including Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals, Oil & Gas, Food, Bulk Storage & Distribution, Renewables, and Energy, ensuring operational safety, compliance, and performance. The Role As an Inspector, you’ll play a key role in maintaining asset integrity by inspecting in-service equipment and delivering detailed technical assessments and recommendations. This role combines fieldwork and client engagement, offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to be at the forefront of industry best practice. Key Responsibilities: * Inspect pressure vessels, pipework, storage tanks, and other process equipment. * Act as the key point of contact for designated client sites, providing assessments and recommendations on condition, repairs, maintenance, and modifications. * Prepare and amend Written Schemes of Examination (WSE). * Produce and issue high-quality inspection documentation, including: * Inspection Reports * Supplementary Inspection Reports * Imminent Failure/Danger Notifications * Movement Reports * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure clients receive a comprehensive and proactive service. About You You’ll bring proven experience within inspection, ideally working across multiple asset types and industrial sectors. You’ll be confident managing client relationships, delivering reports to the highest standard, and maintaining compliance with relevant codes and standards. Essential Experience & Qualifications: * Significant experience in inspection within heavy industry or plant engineering environments. * Qualified to relevant inspection body standards (API and/or EEMUA). * Experience across pressure systems, piping, tanks, and relief systems. * Skilled in specifying inspection intervals and maintaining Written Schemes of Examination. * Full UK driving licence. Desirable: * API-570 (Piping), API-510 (Pressure Vessels), API-653/EEMUA 159 (Tanks). * API-580 (Risk-Based Inspection). * PCN Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing, Eddy Current Testing, or CSWIP 3.0/3.1. * Experience mentoring or supporting junior inspectors.
