Maintenance Engineer (Mechanical Biased)

The Role
As a Mechanical Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will be the backbone of our operational efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring that all plant machinery and facilities systems are maintained to the highest standards, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reactive and Planned Maintenance: Execute PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) schedules and respond rapidly to mechanical breakdowns.
* System Diagnostics: Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues including hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, and pumping systems.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance machinery performance and safety protocols.
* Compliance: Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health and Safety regulations and company standards.
Shift Patterns
We are currently recruiting for two separate roles. Please indicate your preference during the application process:
* Shift Pattern A: (Insert Specific Shift Detail : e.g., 4 on 4 off Days)
* Shift Pattern B: (Insert Specific Shift Detail : e.g., Monday to Friday Double Days)
The Candidate
We are looking for proactive, hands:on engineers who take pride in their technical expertise.
* Qualification: Level 3 (NVQ/City and Guilds) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
* Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical drive systems, bearings, and welding/fabrication.
* Mindset: A safety:first approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a multi:skilled team.
