Anderson Knight is recruiting an Engineering Service Coordinator on behalf of a well-established facilities management business in Hillington.
This is not a standard helpdesk role. This position sits at the heart of engineering operations ideal for someone who understands service environments, enjoys problem-solving, and can confidently coordinate technical workloads while supporting engineers with the information and resources they need to deliver.
You’ll be responsible for planning engineering activity, supporting fault diagnosis, coordinating parts, and ensuring service delivery meets customer and contractual expectations.
Working Pattern
40 hours per week on a rolling 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
Shifts:
• 08:00 – 18:30
• 09:30 – 20:00
Salary - £28,500-£29,285 DOE
The Role
You will act as the operational link between customers, engineers, and internal teams — ensuring jobs are prioritised correctly, resources are deployed effectively, and service standards are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and prioritise the daily workload of the engineering team
* Plan and allocate engineering resources to meet service deadlines and SLAs
* Use system data to support remote fault diagnosis and determine engineer attendance requirements
* Monitor live jobs, identifying risks, delays, or service issues early
* Keep customers informed on job progress and resolution timelines
* Manage escalations professionally and drive issues through to completion
* Ensure engineers follow procedures, compliance requirements, and quality standards
* Understand customer contracts and support delivery against service level agreements
* Produce scheduled and ad-hoc performance reports
* Coordinate procurement of spare parts and schedule installation works
* Work closely with management to flag operational issues and support solutions
What We’re Looking For
This role suits someone from a service coordination, engineering planning, or FM support environment not a general call centre background.
* Proven experience in a coordination or planning role (engineering/service environment highly desirable)
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple live priorities
* Confident working with systems and interpreting job or asset data
* Good working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office
* Comfortable communicating with engineers, customers, and internal stakeholders
* Calm under pressure and able to make practical, balanced decisions
* Team-focused with a proactive, problem-solving approach
