Design Manager (SolidWorks) – Birmingham - Remote 2 days per month in Brighton
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Training + Progression + Hybrid + Company Benefits
Are you a Design Manager or a Design Engineer looking to step up into a Manager or Team Leader role for a small, established design team?
You will join a global leader in the container and storage business that creates bespoke equipment for customers, with the autonomy to propose new business ideas. The company has grown steadily and is expanding its design team. You will lead the team and shape it in your own image.

This role requires experience in CAD design with a SolidWorks background and an interest in stepping into a team lead role or having prior leadership experience with transferable skills.
Responsibilities
* Lead the design team of 2 staff
* Sign off a variety of bespoke designs
* Coach and mentor junior team members
* Collaborate with other senior team members across the business to generate new innovative ideas for growth
* Assist in creating designs in CAD and SolidWorks
Qualifications
* SolidWorks CAD design background
* Willingness to lead a small team of designers
* Commutable distance to Worthing with hybrid or remote work and occasional visits
