Global Head of Marketing – Clarks Originals

Clarks Originals is seeking a strategic, commercially minded brand leader to help shape the future of this iconic global business.

In this role, you'll define the long‐term marketing vision and build the global GTM strategies that drive growth, elevate consumer perception, and strengthen Originals' position across key markets.

You'll partner closely with the Global Head of Clarks Originals Product to ensure brand, product, and commercial strategies are fully aligned, creating cohesive seasonal stories, compelling assets, and activation plans that deliver both creative impact and measurable results.

Responsibilities:

* Own the brand development and direction for all Clarks Original marketing initiatives globally
* In conjunction with Head of Originals product determine global category opportunities and propose strategic range and/or market opportunities on an annual, seasonal, and multiyear basis to deliver defined commercial outcomes.
* Oversee and deliver impactful GTM tools and journeys – delivering Clarks Originals strategic intent with impact. Including bespoke strategies and assets in line with market specific key account plans and objectives.
* Lead the development and delivery of integrated global seasonal marketing plans to create assets and campaigns that deliver the seasonal marketing strategy and communicate agreed key messages and stories to the target consumers in agreed touchpoints.
* Provide strategic input and oversight to the development of the program of marketing activities over the season for all parts of the Clarks Originals proposition, ensuring that plans effectively deliver the proposition to the consumer and drive market growth.
* Working with relevant stakeholders, analyse and understand local and channel needs and connect these into the marketing strategy to ensure that representation of the brand in front of the consumer balances requirements of the channel strategy and local needs.
* Shape and influence seasonal trading plans to drive focus on relevant key messages and products for our consumers.
* Continually improve relevant procedures and processes, delivering efficiency improvements to current ways of working in line with agreed outcomes.
* Create the conditions that deliver a highly competent, energetic, engaged and motivated workforce who are committed and aligned to delivery outcomes.
* Drive development of the global and regional budget shapes and own all KPI setting and ROI analysis for the Clarks Originals consumer
* Lead instore and event environment aesthetic with the head of brand environments to ensure the ultimate consumer experience.

Qualifications:

Knowledge

* Deep understanding of the principles and practice of brand and product marketing and how to apply them successfully to grow a global brand
* Is a strong leader of people and can articulate and apply the principle and behaviours of effective leadership to drive engagement and performance
* Knowledge of marketing planning and development processes
* Knowledge of the footwear or fashion/ accessories market, and of global locations
* Knowledge of strategic planning processes
* Major knowledge of energy brands, ambassador landscapes, partner deal making

Skills

* Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
* Strong conceptual reasoning skills, able to communicate and present well and deliver independently.
* Strong skills in delivering high quality work within constrained timescales and resources.
* Strong ability to design marketing planning processes to support a complex international business
* Ability to coach and develop others.
* Ability to manage a creative development process
* Strong skills in leading within a matrix organisation to develop powerful creative solutions that deliver brand building and commercial returns.
* Collaborative working style with a clear focus on delivering quality outcomes
* Ability to plan, develop and execute across the marketing mix
* Strong, credible impact, with sophisticated negotiation and conflict resolution style

Experience

* Significant experience in developing, planning and managing the implementation of brand and marketing strategies
* Experience in global partner deals and collaborations preferable
* Significant experience in identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, motivate and inform
* Experience of project managing the delivery of complex multi-channel marketing campaigns that deliver both brand and commercial objectives.
* Experience of implementing a creative development process that delivered commercially beneficial marketing activities and materials across a wide variety of markets and media.
* Experience of delivering multi-market initiatives
* Proven experience in all areas of the marketing mix
