Editorial Content lawyer (TV, film, print or audio) (Consultant lawyer role)
Location: London/Regions/Global/Flexible/Remote
Reviewed & Cleared, the UK's largest collective of specialist editorial content lawyers and associated services, including business affairs and drama clearances, is expanding.
We are seeking an experienced Pre-Publication Consultant to advise across a range of media including TV and film. You will be able to provide clear, pragmatic advice to a range of media production clients including programme makers, broadcasters, podcast producers and print publishers about their editorial content.
You will be at senior lawyer level with a practical working knowledge of the following core areas:
* Defamation
* Privacy and misuse of private information
* Regulatory codes and industry guidelines, including the Ofcom Broadcasting Code
* Copyright
* Contempt of court and reporting restrictions
In-house experience with a broadcaster or publisher is advantageous but not essential. What matters most is sharp judgement, an enabling mindset, a strong editorial instinct, and a genuine commitment to building trusted client relationships and delivering exceptional client care.
This is a flexible, highly professional consultancy role for senior-level lawyers offering autonomy and the unique opportunity to immediately absorb high-quality workflow within an inclusive and supportive community of fellow experts. You will benefit from back-office administrative support and legal resources, as well as highly competitive fee-sharing and referral-fee arrangements.
If you would enjoy supporting creatives and working alongside industry-leading media specialists and would like to know more, we would love to have a conversation with you.
