Role Overview
As Sous Chef, you will support the Head Chef in maintaining exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and safety. You will lead daily kitchen operations, inspire the team, and ensure seamless service across all dining outlets and special events.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the kitchen brigade during service, ensuring consistency and efficiency

Uphold high standards of flavour, presentation, and portion control
3.
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety compliance (HACCP)
4.
Support menu design and recipe development
5.
Manage stock control, ordering, and waste reduction
6.
Train, mentor, and motivate junior team members
7.
Coordinate prep for private functions, banquets, and events
8.
Collaborate with front-of-house and F&B teams to enhance guest satisfaction
9.
Control costs through effective resource and inventory management
10.
Organise staff rotas and assist with workforce planning
11.
Check the quality and accuracy of deliveries
12.
Handle guest feedback with professionalism and care
13.
Contribute to continuous improvement across kitchen operations
14.
Strive to meet and exceed departmental KPIs
Candidate Profile
15.
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef in a high-quality restaurant or hotel
16.
Strong culinary expertise and operational understanding
17.
Natural leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
18.
Excellent knowledge of food safety standards and relevant legislation
19.
Highly organised with strong communication skills

Ability to perform under pressure and maintain exceptional standards

Position Details
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000 - £36,000 per annum (DOE) - Generous gratuities on top
