The Assistant Quantity Surveyor's role
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will support the commercial delivery of a variety of live projects, assisting with cost planning, procurement, and financial reporting. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will help prepare tender documentation, review contractor returns, and support contract administration duties. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will attend project meetings alongside senior colleagues, gaining valuable client‑facing experience and practical project exposure. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will also assist with valuations, variations, and final accounts across multiple sectors.
Qualifications
The ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor will have 1-3 years' UK experience within a consultancy or contractor environment. An Assistant Quantity Surveyor should have a good understanding of pre- and post-contract duties and be keen to continue developing technically. Experience with JCT contracts is desirable for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is preferred, with APC ambitions viewed positively. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be motivated, organised, and eager to progress within a supportive consultancy.
