Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
Join our dedicated team at a primary school in Crawley, where youll make a difference every day by working one:on:one and with small groups of children who need additional support to achieve their full potential.
The Role:
* Full:Time Commitment: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 3:30pm, working during term:time only.
* SEND Support: Work closely with students with SEND, providing one:to:one assistance and support for small group sessions to help each child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
* Collaborative Teamwork: Work alongside teachers and other school staff to implement effective learning plans and provide a nurturing learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support for students with SEND needs, helping them access the curriculum and reach their learning goals.
* Deliver one:to:one and small group interventions, using creative strategies and resources to engage children in their learning.
* Assist with the preparation and delivery of classroom activities, ensuring an inclusive and positive environment.
* Monitor and record students progress, working with teachers and SEND coordinators to adapt learning plans as needed.
* Build trusting relationships with children, encouraging their independence, confidence, and well:being.
What We Are Looking For:
* Experience: Previous experience working with children with SEND in a primary school or similar setting is essential.
* Skills: Strong communication, patience, empathy, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
* Commitment: A genuine passion for working with children and a desire to help them achieve their best.
* Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents to support each childs individual needs.
