The UK Space Agency's Sustainability & In-Orbit Servicing, Assembly & Manufacturing (ISAM) team is seeking a highly motivated individual with experience in stakeholder engagement and communications for a complex programme.
About Space Sustainability
Space sustainability aims to use space environment responsibly to meet current societal needs without compromising future generations. Challenges include increasing congestion near Earth due to more satellite launches.
The UK aims to develop new industrial capabilities and strengthen its leadership in space sustainability, including promoting safe satellite regulation and developing active debris removal missions to address space junk.
Role Overview
This role involves supporting programme engagement for various Sustainability & ISAM initiatives, including a national active debris removal mission. Responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders, presenting UK capabilities, organizing events, and creating promotional materials.
The postholder will work within the Sustainability & ISAM team, reporting to the Space Sustainability Lead and collaborating with the Engagement Lead and other colleagues to develop stakeholder relationships aligned with national and international policies.
Candidate Profile
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, confidence in interacting with diverse stakeholders, excellent writing skills, and attention to detail are essential. The role involves working closely with the UK Space Agency's Communications team and managing contracts for promotional activities.
