As a Payments Sales Associate in the Specialty Finance Sales team, you will support Payments Sales Managers in the region and report to the European Head of Broker Dealer and Specialty Finance Payments Sales. In this role, you will work with both new and existing clients, helping to maintain and grow the team's portfolio in line with business objectives by selling treasury and payments products to target clients. Your responsibilities will include gathering client and market intelligence, supporting the sales team with various onboarding tasks and other ad hoc projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain front-office experience, interacting with clients, corporate bankers, product teams, and client service professionals across J.P. Morgan's lines of business. Ultimately, you will gain a deep understanding of the Specialty Finance sector and J.P. Morgan's Payments products.
* Develop a thorough understanding of the Specialty Finance segment and the payments products relevant to this industry.
* Assist the Sales team with sales pitch materials, RFP/RFI submissions, and preparation of proposals for internal approvals. Build and analyze pricing and profitability models.
* Conduct research on existing client portfolios and prospective clients. Prepare client research, industry analysis, and provide fundamental research on market sizing by region.
* Attend client meetings and assist with meeting planning and follow-ups, including client analysis, presentations, and call reports.
* Support the end-to-end sales cycle, including pricing, fee billing setup, and deal execution. Understand client account structures, cash flow, product usage, and regional/global setups.
* Manage the end-to-end client onboarding process, including compliance reviews as needed. Handle Know Your Client (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) responsibilities, including KYC renewals and managing compliance inquiries with clients.
* Educate partners across the firm to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the Specialty Finance segment and the Payments strategy for this sector.
* Identify, elevate, and resolve business issues such as risk, legal, and compliance matters.
* Collaborate with a global network of corporate bankers and Payments colleagues to support business activities.
* Stay informed about regional developments, including regulatory changes, political developments, and market trends.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Banking, or a related field.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex problems into clear conclusions.
