The Role
As Workshop Manager, you'll take charge of the GSE workshop, leading from the front to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently.
You will:
Lead, manage, and motivate the GSE workshop team
Oversee maintenance and repair of equipment to minimise downtime
Ensure all work meets strict safety, compliance, and airport regulations
Drive efficiency, organisation, and operational resilience
Collaborate with airlines, ground handlers, and internal teams
Improve workshop performance and streamline processes
Support operations during peak periods and unexpected challenges
What We're Looking For
Proven experience managing a busy workshop (aviation experience ideal)
Strong organisational skills and ability to perform under pressure
A confident leader who can inspire and develop teams
Excellent communication skills across all levels
A strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance
Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement
City & Guilds/NVQ (or equivalent)Desirable:
Plant or HGV experience
Knowledge of diesel & electric vehicles, hydraulics, and welding
