Role Overview:
As a Local Environmental Quality Coordinator, you will coordinate and project manage various environmental quality and certification programs within the LEQ department. You will work closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coordination: Manage resources, including field officers, to deliver program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental quality initiatives.
3. Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate certification programs such as Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conduct cleanliness surveys across boroughs and neighborhoods.
4. Community Engagement: Develop community participation in sustainability initiatives, promote award programs, and expand geographical coverage.
5. Communications: Act as the primary contact, respond to technical inquiries, represent the charity at events, and prepare content for various platforms.
6. Research Support: Assist in research and policy analysis related to environmental sustainability, staying updated on survey and assessment methodologies.
7. Authority and Decision-making: Manage work assignments, stakeholder communications, and support marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant third-level qualification or three years' equivalent experience, including at least 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year in staff supervision.
Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Requirements:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full current driving license and access to transport.
* Understanding of environmental issues; knowledge of behavior change principles is a plus.
* Effective independent and team working skills, with excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities.
* Occasional travel across Northern Ireland and flexibility for some after-hours work.
Additional Details:
* Working hours: Flexible, between 8 am - 6 pm, core hours 10 am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday.
* Salary: £30,328
* Contract: Permanent (funding-dependent)
