Overview:
A well-established UK engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join its machining team. The business operates in a high-precision environment, producing complex engineered components for demanding applications.
The Role:
Offline CNC programming using CAD/CAM software (experience with AlphaCam or similar packages considered; training available)
Producing efficient CNC milling programs for horizontal machining centres
Working from detailed engineering drawings and 3D solid models
Designing and specifying workholding solutions
Selecting appropriate tooling, cutting speeds, and feeds
Collaborating with engineering and shop floor teams to improve machining processes
About You
Proven experience in CNC programming within a precision manufacturing environment
Strong offline CAD/CAM programming capability
Confident supporting CNC milling set-ups and machining operations
Able to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and GD&T
Experience with ERP systems is beneficial (training can be provided)
