Job Description
City of Westminster Council is seeking an interim Senior Practitioner for its Mental Health team.
The role will last 3 months initially.
Paid at £36 per hour (umbrella).
The role will involve the following:
* Senior Practitioner
* Adult Social Care – Mental Health
* The South Locality Social Care Team is a busy Adult Mental Health Social Care service based in Victoria.
* We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner Social Worker to provide leadership, professional oversight, and high-quality practice support within the team.
* This is a key role suited to a confident and experienced senior social worker with strong leadership skills and a commitment to excellent practice.
* Provide leadership and professional guidance to social workers within the team Promote and embed high-quality social work practice
* Undertake the Duty Senior role as required
* Act as a Safeguarding Adults Manager
* Provide regular supervision and oversight of complex cases
* Manage risk and support complex decision-making in line with legislation

Requirements of the role:
* Qualified Social Worker
* Fully Social Work England registered
* Significant post-qualifying experience, ideally at Senior Practitioner level or equivalent
* Strong working knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Court of Protection
* Proven experience managing safeguarding enquiries and complex cases
* Confidence in risk assessment and complex decision-making
