Job Description
Robertson Recruitment are working with a leading name in the quarrying and aggregates industry in the Leicestershire area supplying high-quality materials and engineering solutions across the UK and beyond. Youll be responsible for the fabrication, repair, and maintenance of a variety of equipment including conveyors and structural steelwork.
There are two different shift patterns available for this role. Please see below.
Working hours:
Monday to Thursday14:30pm to 00.30am
OR
Monday to Friday6:00am to 14:30pm
Responsibilities:
* Carry out MIG welding on mild and stainless steel.
* Fabricate new components and assemblies from technical drawings or measurements taken on site.
* Perform repair work on heavy quarry plant and equipment.
* Operate cutting, grinding, and other metalworking tools safely and efficiently.
* Maintain high standards of safety and quality at all times.
Skills required:
* Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator, ideally in a heavy industry environment.
* Strong MIG skills (TIG advantageous).
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
* Confident working with heavy materials and large fabrications.
* A proactive, safety-conscious attitude.
* Ability to pass a skills test
