As the Laboratory team leader, you will provide supervisory support to the designated line manager to ensure the achievement of operational targets in a cost-effective manner, aligned with safe operating practices.
Required skills and experience:
* Team leadership experience
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Degree or HND in science or engineering preferred
* Experience working in a laboratory environment
About the Opportunity
You will ensure the efficient and effective performance of the section's daily workload, in accordance with technical standards and client instructions. This includes:
* Providing appropriate training to technical staff, including induction, ongoing development, and training on new developments
Key Activities:
* Maintaining equipment to acceptable operating and calibration standards
* Representing the company externally with professional bodies and clients
* Performing audits and ensuring compliance with local and external standards such as ISO 17025, SABRe, Nadcap, OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and SafeContractor
* Authorising statements of conformity on test reports
