| Salary £36,363 - £46,142 Per Annum | Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week | Child & Youth Justice Service | Make a Real Difference in the Lives of Children and Young People Lancashire's Child and Youth Justice Service (CYJS) supports children aged 8-18 who are involved in, or at risk of, offending or anti-social behaviour. We work with children, their families, victims, and the wider community to promote safety, reduce harm, and create opportunities for brighter futures. Everything we do is guided by the principles of Child First, trauma-informed practice, and restorative approaches.
About the Role
We are looking for a committed and passionate Social Worker to join our Central Operational Team. As part of the team, you will:
* Deliver meaningful interventions with children in the community and in custodial settings.
* Undertake work within the Courts.
* Complete high-quality assessments and support children and their families/carers to achieve positive outcomes.
* Work collaboratively with partners, promoting strengths-based and restorative practice at every stage.
* You may also support our Prevention and Diversion service, helping children exit the criminal justice system at the earliest opportunity and ensuring they receive the right support at the right time.
Qualifications
* A recognised Social Work degree (or equivalent)
* Registration with the relevant professional body
* Strong assessment, communication and partnership-working skills
* A commitment to strengths-based, trauma-informed, child-centred practice
* Flexibility to travel across the county to meet service needs
* Office bases are located across Lancashire, with this role primarily operating within the Central area.
