Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist for the Shropshire Reset/ Rough Sleepers service.

The successful candidate will provide clinical services directly to people with complex alcohol/substance misuse and mental health problems, homelessness, and their families/carers, while supporting the service and its staff.
Key responsibilities include using strategies to enhance psychological well-being, participating in multi-agency meetings, and providing assessment, formulation, and trauma-informed psychological understanding and therapeutic interventions.
Main duties of the job
* Provide expert psychological assessment and reports to referrers of people with psychological problems.
* Offer expert formulation and psychological therapy to service users with mental health problems.
* Formulate and implement plans for formal psychological intervention and/or management of clients' psychological difficulties.
* Manage a specialist caseload autonomously and make difficult decisions about priorities and clinical issues.
* Act as a care coordinator, taking responsibility for planning and review of care plans under enhanced CPA.
* Risk assess individual clients, especially those with challenging and complex needs, and provide advice to professionals on risk assessment and management.

Person Specification
Clinical suitability and skills
* Registered with the Health Professions Council and eligible for registration as a chartered clinical psychologist.
* Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice.
* Significant demonstrable experience of working as a qualified clinical psychologist with a wide variety of client groups.
* Experience of representing psychology within the context of multi-disciplinary care.
