The Role Provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with SEN and mild autism. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies. Support the child’s learning, communication, and social development both inside and outside the classroom. Encourage independence while offering emotional and academic support. Adapt activities and resources to meet the pupil’s individual needs. The Ideal Candidate Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly autism, is highly desirable. Patient, empathetic, and adaptable in your approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships. Enthusiastic and committed to helping children achieve their best.
