Role Overview
The Logistics Manager will be responsible for coordinating all logistics operations on site, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely movement of labour, materials, and equipment in line with the construction programme.
This position requires a proactive individual capable of managing labourers, deliveries, and plant activities while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities

Manage all deliveries, vehicle movements, and access routes to and from site.

Supervise logistics operatives and general labourers, ensuring efficient allocation of manpower.
*
Coordinate crane, hoist, and plant operations in line with site schedules and permits.
*
Maintain delivery records, permits, and booking systems to track materials and equipment.
*
Liaise daily with Site Management, Subcontractors, and Suppliers to align logistics with programme milestones.
*
Conduct H&S inspections within logistics zones; ensure RAMS and traffic management plans are followed.
*
Manage welfare areas, hoardings, and access points, maintaining site security and presentation.
*
Attend and contribute to daily coordination meetings, flagging logistics risks or constraints.

Support site setup, material laydown planning, and demobilisation as required.
Requirements
*
Proven experience as a Logistics Manager / Coordinator / Site Logistics Supervisor in a construction environment.
*
SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Card, and strong understanding of CDM Regulations.
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
*
Ability to lead teams and manage fast-paced logistics operations.
*
Knowledge of material handling, traffic management, and temporary works coordination
