In conjunction with the Head of Contact Centre – Switchboard, provide management responsibility for the Switchboard service by supporting the strategic direction of the service to meet the Trust overall objectives.
Proactively and positively contribute to the successful overall performance of the Switchboard department by supporting the Head of Contact Centre – Switchboard when recruiting and developing staff to meet the future needs of the department. In conjunction with the Head of Contact Centre – Switchboard and AD Digital Service support all budget requirements including all necessary processes for procurement. Ensure final sign off Health Roster across all sites.
Main duties of the job
Support the Head of Contact Centre – Switchboard by recruiting and developing staff to meet the needs of the service in conjunction with the overall development of the scanning bureau.
In conjunction with the Head of Contact Centre – Switchboard manage all budget requirements including procurement.
Support the day-to-day operational management of the Switchboard service.
Support departments to ensure the Switchboard Directory is maintained.
Supporting the recruitment and selection of staff across the Switchboard service.
Manage personal workload to meet both corporate and personal deadlines.
Prioritise workload in a way that enables the delivery of both important and urgent tasks.
Identify changes that may be required in an area to deliver the service and actively implement these changes with the support of the Service Manager.

Person Specification
* Educated to degree level or equivalent knowledge, skills and management experience
* Previous operational management experience within the acute sector or similarly complex organisation
* Knowledge and experience of service improvement tools and techniques
* Proven track record of meeting significant Trust identified SLA targets
* A sound understanding of HR processes
* Full range of IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint
