Overview
Parts Advisor - Milnthorpe Area. Our client is looking for a Parts Advisor with previous experience within a manufacturing stores environment.
Responsibilities
* Manage stock levels, including receiving goods and distributing stock.
* Coordinate with in-house buyer to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
* Implement cost-effective measures to optimize inventory levels and reduce wastage.
* Conduct stock audits and cycle counts.
* Monitor and report on stock levels and usage trends.
* Ensure quality of received goods and handle returns for faulty or damaged items.
* Maintain security and cleanliness of the stores areas.
* Implement safety protocols related to handling and storage of materials.
* Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency in order to meet production targets.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance store operations and efficiency.
* Assist with staff training within stores.
* Issuing PPE and handling manual lifting, as required.
* Keep computerised recording systems for accurate inventory management.
Requirements
* Proven experience in a manufacturing stores environment.
* Strong IT skills, particularly with Microsoft packages and familiarity with inventory management systems.
* Background in engineering or related fields, preferred.
* Excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high standards of efficiency and organisation.
* Forklift license is beneficial; training can be provided if required.
Salary
Up to £31,200 basic
