Key tasks/responsibilities Cleansing Operative Emptying and sorting of refuse containers Collecting illicit tipping Litter picking where required Taking rubbish to the amenity site at the end of the rounds Drive a vehicle, reporting all defects and ensuring that the road traffic act is adhered to at all times Encourage and monitor recycling across the site Investigate and implement procedures that improve recycling Report to line manager when stock levels are low Clean relevant areas in the absence of cleaning staff Cleansing Operative Ensure that work is undertaken according to the Departmental Health and Safety Policy, any safe systems of work and the Health and Safety of work 1974 Undertake any other duties by the request of management Cleansing Operative Cleansing Operative Must have full UK driving licence, must have previous Cleansing experience, must provide PPE sizes. Cleansing Operative Expected to work standard 37 hours a week Monday to Friday 7.00AM to 15.00PM. However required to be flexible where service requirements will need to start at different times and possibly some weekend working. Cleansing Operative This role is a temporary seasonal role which will potentially finish end of September 2026.
