Responsibilities
The candidate should have experience of working with pupils who can become highly dysregulated and be skilled in de-escalation strategies. They should have experience and an understanding of the Nurture Principles and be able to apply them to their practice. The candidate should have experience of working with parents/carers, external agencies and be able to form positive working relationships with schools. The candidate will be expected to work within an enhanced nurture provision or be working to support schools and staff with their nurture needs across the authority.
Qualifications / Requirements
This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
