Join Our Team as a Field Sales Executive!
Location: Kidderminster and South Birmingham
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
This is a field-based role with occasional HQ visits and offsite meetings.
Salary: Up to £25,000 - £27,000 per annum, plus a 10% performance-related bonus!

Your Role
Instore, part of Smiths News, is on the lookout for a dynamic Field Sales Executive to expand our retail distribution points by promoting our client’s products within the Independent Retail Sector (Convenience, CTN, Grocery, etc.). If you have a knack for field sales and a proven track record, we want to hear from you!
Our client is a well-known household brand, supplying major supermarkets, high streets, garden centres, and retailers, along with a robust e-commerce presence. Their high-quality products and attractive displays are perfect for the independent market, supported by a strong marketing strategy.
Main Responsibilities
* Drive sales and distribution targets to meet agreed KPIs across various accounts.
* Build strong customer relationships and identify new distribution opportunities.
* Adopt an entrepreneurial approach to uncover key accounts with bulk distribution potential.
* Maximize brand presence within your sales territory.
* Ensure all relevant calls are completed as per the territory plan.
* Foster a high-performing field mentality to achieve all KPIs.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues and keep your Line Manager informed.
* Proactively resolve issues before they escalate.
* Maintain expert knowledge of the client’s business and products.
* Deliver high standards in all tasks.
* Provide quality feedback to drive the client’s business and retail growth strategy.
* Complete all administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
* Understand the retail landscape to leverage competitive advantages.
* Utilize the Smiths News delivery network to ensure ongoing product orders.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should ideally possess:
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Previous experience in a relevant sales or retail environment, preferably within FMCG/consumer goods.
* Brand Ambassador experience is a plus!
* Strong relationship-building skills and sales techniques.
* Experience in remote field activity with a track record of meeting sales targets.
* Strong organizational and planning abilities.
* Analytical skills to drive sales conversions through education.
* Proven success in sales.
* Ability to influence and implement change effectively.
* Capability to document ideas and actions to enhance performance.
