SEND Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with SEND, ensuring they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to the needs of SEND students.
Support students with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and mobility, where necessary.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with SEND is desirable but not essential.
A patient and compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children, parents, and colleagues.
Flexibility, resilience, and the ability to adapt to the varying needs and challenges of working in a primary school setting.
