Hard Services Manager – Chester Salary: £65,000 – £70,000 Package Location: Chester (Single-Site Role) Team: 3 Direct Reports | Total Engineering Team of 35 We are currently recruiting for an experienced Hard Services Manager to oversee operations at a prestigious, single-site facility in Chester. Role Overview: As the Hard Services Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of hard FM services across the site, ensuring compliance, safety, and high standards of delivery. Leading a team of 35 engineers through 3 direct reports, you will drive performance, optimise processes, and support continuous improvement across all building services. Key Responsibilities: * Lead and manage the engineering team, providing clear direction, support, and development opportunities. * Ensure all hard FM services (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, etc.) are delivered to the highest standards. * Maintain compliance with statutory requirements, industry best practices, and health & safety regulations. * Manage budgets, resource planning, and contractor relationships effectively. * Drive operational excellence, service innovation, and client satisfaction. * Act as the main point of contact for hard services on site, liaising with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers. What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in a Hard Services / Engineering Manager role within facilities management. * Strong technical background in M&E (mechanical and electrical) systems. * Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing large engineering teams. * A proactive approach to problem-solving, compliance, and performance optimisation. * Relevant qualifications in engineering or facilities management (HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent).
