We are currently working with an Alternative Provision in Chesterfield (S41) that seeks a Literacy Intervention Assistant for a temp‑to‑permanent, full‑time position.
Responsibilities
* Provide literacy support and intervention to pupils who are disaffected and/or have behavioural, emotional, social and learning difficulties.
* Support and deliver a phonics programme and a wide range of literacy interventions.
* Assist pupils with SEND and those who are permanently excluded, enabling them to improve their literacy skills.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Relevant experience supporting the delivery of phonics programmes and literacy interventions.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Business insurance or willingness to obtain business insurance.
* Updated DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). The role requires an enhanced DBS check as part of registration.
Hours are 8:30–16:20. Salary: £24,763–£26,407 (gross, PAYE).
