We work from four branch clinics (Worthing, Ashington, Pulborough and Westergate) and two state-of-the-art hospitals (Storrington and Chichester). Our sister businesses, South Downs Emergency Vets and South Downs Veterinary Referrals operate from these two hospitals, and we work collaboratively to deliver exceptional, personalised care to our patients 24/7. As a qualified registered veterinary nurse, you’ll be involved in first opinion and referral care, including medical and surgical cases, advanced diagnostic imaging and rehabilitation. This gives you the opportunity to grow and master your areas of special interest.

About you
You’ll be an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RCVS), with a valid driving licence.

Your benefits will include funded CPD (Certificate funding available); standard pension benefit; 40% staff discount for own pets; enhanced parental leave (6 months paid at 90%); enhanced sickness benefit (2 weeks at 100%); generous holiday (7 weeks, including bank holidays) and occupational health resources, including mental health support.
Rota
4-day week, 10 hour working shifts (7.30am-6.30pm, 8.00am-7.00pm, 8.30am-7.30pm), totalling 40 hours. 1 hour lunch break.
Equal rota for daytime in-patient care and help with emergencies over weekends and bank holidays. 2 days off in lieu of any weekends worked. No out-of-hours, except to act as “last resort” backup to dedicated emergency team on a rota. This is very rarely used.
This role is based in our busy Westergate branch clinic with weekends based in Storrington/Chichester hospital.
£26,000 to £33,000 pa depending on experience, 40 hours per week.
