GSL Education are hiring a Behaviour Mentor to work within schools in Derbyshire, including the DE12 postcode area, supporting pupils who require guidance with behaviour, engagement, and emotional regulation.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will build positive relationships with pupils, support them in managing challenges, and develop strategies that aid learning. Working with teachers and pastoral staff, you will promote consistency and drive positive outcomes.
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group behaviour support.
* Implement behaviour strategies and intervention plans.
* Encourage positive choices and emotional regulation.
* Support pupils during challenging moments and transitions.
* Record progress and communicate updates with staff.
Requirements of Behaviour Mentor:
* Experience working with children or young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
* A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* A consistent, calm, and professional approach.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
