The Role
As an IT Service Operations Technical Analyst, you’ll be part of a dynamic Group IT team supporting over 4,500 users across 180+ global locations. You’ll deliver high‑quality IT support and troubleshooting in a predominantly Windows environment, ensuring service levels are met and exceeded. From resolving incidents and requests to identifying and implementing improvements, your work will directly enhance Bodycote’s global IT service delivery. You’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day infrastructure monitoring, engage in key upgrade and service improvement projects, and represent Group IT within the business – always delivering world‑class customer service.
Key Essentials
* Broad technical knowledge of Windows Server and Client operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Exchange, and Group Policy
* Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, WAN, switches) and backup technologies
* Familiarity with mobile operating systems (Android, iOS) and antivirus solutions (preferably Sophos)
* Working knowledge of ITIL‑based processes and service management best practices
* Strong communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
* A proactive, flexible, and collaborative mindset with the ability to perform under pressure
Desirable
* 5+ years’ experience supporting complex Windows environments
* ITIL Foundation certification
* Experience with Microsoft cloud technologies (Office 365, Azure) and MDM tools (e.g., Intune)
* Relevant Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCSA, MCDST)

Location & Work Pattern
This role is based in Macclesfield, with a hybrid working arrangement. Some travel may be required to Bodycote sites.
