Trainee Machine Control Technician – Construction Equipment
Fully Funded Training Programme – including a recognised Apprenticeship
Roaming Role – Based on Sites in the East Midlands
£13-£15p/h Depending on Experience and Training Required + Overtime Paid at Time and a Half over 40 hours worked

Working on a variety of commercial and infrastructure construction projects, this varied role is focussed on the East Midlands, with projects including distribution centres, roads, rail, and other large scale infrastructure projects.
Requirements
What we are Looking in a Candidate:
* Some professional work experience, ideally within the construction industry.
* An interest in mechanical engineering.
* Ability or mentality to methodically fault find.
* Eligible to work in the UK. Unfortunately, sponsorship cannot be offered for this role.
* Full, clean driving license.
What the Role Will Become:
* Working with Trimble machine control and guidance systems that have been installed on to the existing fleet of dozers, excavators, graders, and compactors.
* Visit machines to diagnose faults and undertake repairs.
* Manage device allocations and machine maintenance records.
* Undertake system installation and commissioning – both hardware and software.
* Check systems for accuracy and undertake periodic system calibrations.
* Understanding of site control and positioning solutions
* Provide ‘on-call’ and remote assistance to Managers and Operatives with machine control faults.
During your Training:
* Working alongside an established machine control technician helping and learning from them.
* Supporting them with relevant documentation, gathering of measurements / data etc.
* As you grow in confidence and experience, you will be exposed to more of the role.
