About the Role
We are seeking experienced Safety Consultants with expertise in nuclear or defence industries. The role may involve civil nuclear, naval nuclear programmes, and research reactors. Flexibility including potential relocation support for roles in Canada and Australia, and the option to begin in the UK, is offered.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce safety case documents such as SJP, PCSR, PCmSR, PRS.
* Prepare modification/design change submissions (LC/AC 22).
* Lead decommissioning safety activities.
* Conduct functional safety and deterministic/probabilistic safety assessments.
* Interface with regulatory bodies.
* Apply ALARP assessment and safety & risk assessment.
* Provide engineering substantiation and support HAZOP, HAZAN, criticality and nuclear fire studies.
Candidate Specification
* Degree in Science, Technology or Engineering.
* Experience in the nuclear or defence industry.
* Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional qualification.
* Proven leadership delivering nuclear safety outcomes for complex projects.
* Ability to lead and develop technical teams.
* Commitment to mentoring and supporting junior staff.
Security Clearance
Eligible applicants must obtain UK (SC) or equivalent clearance based on location.
UK Immigration
We are not currently offering sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa route. Candidates must be eligible for alternative routes or already have necessary clearance.
