Are you a mechanical fitter supervisor with experience leading teams, working on heavy machinery, looking for an exciting opportunity to work with one of the UK's leading sawmilling companies who provide a generous annual bonus and career progression?
This company was founded in the 1800s and is recognized as one of the top sawmilling companies in the UK. Employing over 100 staff, they focus on high-quality softwood for construction and packaging industries.
The ideal candidate will work fully on-site, providing quick response to breakdowns or repairs of heavy-duty machinery and sawmilling equipment. You will lead a team of mechanical fitters to diagnose and resolve hydraulic issues, ensuring the efficiency of the sawmilling process.
This role suits a mechanical fitter with team leadership experience, eager to advance their career and salary within a leading UK softwood supplier.
The role:
* Supervise a team maintaining heavy machinery and sawmilling equipment
* Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and repairs
* Lead a team of fitters
* Organize and follow PPM schedules
* Diagnose hydraulic issues
* Follow health and safety regulations
The person:
* HNC/degree or equivalent in engineering
* Experience supervising heavy machinery maintenance and repair
* Full UK driving license
