Aqua Babies Swimming School are looking for a Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teacher to work alongside our existing team. We are a long established swim school offering swimming lessons to children of primary school age. Our teachers are based in the water during lessons, and our ratio is 1 teacher to 4 children. Level 1 Assistant Swimming Teacher position currently available: Monday from 5.30pm to 8.00pm Possibility for extra hours on a Sunday between 9am and 3pm for the successful candidate We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly candidate that is passionate about swimming and about teaching children to swim. Experience is preferred but not essential as full on the job training will be given. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to teach their own classes in due course once fully trained and competent. Assistant teacher rate is £12.50 per hour (paid weekly) Lessons take place at Woodhouse Grove School in Apperley Bridge, West Yorkshire during term time only. This role is ideally suited for students attending College or University in Leeds or Bradford, or young people completing A levels who live locally to Woodhouse Grove School. Please note that to be considered for the role, applicants must be able to commit to working the 2026/27 academic year, and beyond. Applicants must also hold a relevant swimming teacher qualification, such as Swim England Level 1 or preferably Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification, or STA Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification. A Rescue Award for Swim Teachers and Coaches Qualification or an N.P.L.Q. Qualification would also be desirable.
