About the Nursery:
The nursery is conveniently located in the centre of Maidenhead town centre, only minutes from the train station. Here at the nursery they provide full time childcare in their light and spacious day nursery.
Children aged 3 months to 5 years are cared for by the wonderful team of practitioners, carefully hand-picked to offer the highest level of care.
The role of a Deputy Nursery Manager/ Trainee Manager within the Nursery involves:
Promoting a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Ensuring appropriate planning and assessment is in place and is accurately maintained by all staff
Supporting the development of good practice in relation to special educational needs and inclusion
Implementing and supporting others in delivering the EYFS in line with current practice and guidelines
Planning and organising activities in each room alongside the team
Creating and maintaining a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery
Inducting, supporting, training, mentoring and appraising all staff to deliver high quality childcare practice
Identifying, addressing and supporting individual training needs and self-development such as supervisions and appraisals
Work in conjunction with the Early Years Quality Manager
Undertaking any other duties as reasonably requested by line manager
Mentoring apprentices and liaise with their assessor to ensure course work is on track
Managing any events in the nursery and ordering of resources
Managing weekly staff rotas and covers in case absence
To be considered for the role of Deputy Nursery Manager/ Trainee Nursery Manager you will have:
A minimum of a Level 3 Childcare related qualification
GCSE or equivalent English and Mathematics Grade C or above (if Childcare Qualification achieved after September 2014)
Previous Early Year Management or Leadership experience
Excellent knowledge of EYFS and OFSTED frameworks
