Job Summary
The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, integration and testing of electrical equipment in the powertrain and aircraft. They will be trained to work with high voltage (60-1000VDC) electrical systems and become knowledgeable about relevant safety requirements and procedures.
Your Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with colleagues to capture electrical system requirements and integration requirements for other systems, including aerothermal and structural integration.
2. Support senior staff in the design safe and reliable electrical systems for high voltage and high power systems.
3. Perform mechanical and thermal modelling of electrical components, e.g., busbars.
4. Contribute to FMEA of the systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
5. Support hardware selection and support procurement process.
6. Support electrical system assembly and integration into powertrain/aircraft.
7. Support testing and evaluation of electrical hardware.
8. Support testing and troubleshooting of overall powertrain and aircraft systems.
9. Document and report progress to line manager.
10. Identify innovation opportunities and protect intellectual property.
