We are delighted to be recruiting a Part-Time Accounts Assistant / Credit Controller on behalf of a long‑established Market Harborough business that has been successfully operating for over 30 years. This Credit Controller vacancy offers a varied workload within a small, supportive accounts team where you will be reporting into the Company Accountant. It is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a busy credit control position who is looking for a stable and fulfilling role. £15-£17 per hour 25-27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 23 days annual leave Free parking Statutory pension Discretionary quarterly bonus based on company performance Duties and responsibilities: Allocating customer BACS receipts to the correct customer accounts Managing a sales ledger of up to 1000 active accounts and following established credit control procedures Sending monthly statements, issuing regular chase emails and making follow‑up calls, resolving customer queries with internal accounts colleagues Producing On Stop listings, checking and approving Credit applications and monitoring customer credit limits Managing new customer account openings, reviewing application forms, completing required documentation and setting up accounts on Sage Monitoring bank accounts, transferring funds when required and producing monthly reports on doubtful or at‑risk debts Coordinating annual ISO and FSC audits, processing payroll and supporting the Company Accountant as required Required skills and experience: 3 years previous experience of working within a credit control role Good working knowledge of Sage 50 essential Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry Confident IT skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Clear written and verbal communication skills Strong problem‑solving ability Highly organised, initiative-taking and able to manage own workload effectively
