Social Worker - Permanence Team
Location: Northampton (One Angel Square)
Pay Rate: £36 per hour (Umbrella)

Are you an experienced Social Worker looking to make a real impact in children's lives? Northamptonshire Children' s Trust is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join their Permanence Team, working to secure stable, long‑term outcomes for children in care.

Key Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with families, carers, and partner agencies to achieve permanence for children in care
* Manage a caseload of looked after children with care plans focused on adoption
* Build strong, meaningful relationships with children and young people to ensure their voices are heard
* Contribute to care planning, court processes, and permanency planning
* Work closely with Children in Care services and external partners to deliver positive outcomes
About You
* Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
* Minimum 3+ years post‑qualified experience within UK Local Authority Children' s Services
* Strong experience working with Looked After Children (LAC)
* Experience within court work, safeguarding, or permanence planning
* Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively

Essential Requirements
* 3+ years PQE within a UK Local Authority (Children' s Services)
* Social Work England (SWE) registration
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
