Service Technician | UK-based with travel across the UK & Europe

The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Field Service & Installation Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of workshop-based work, site installations, and international travel.
You will be instrumental in supporting customers by ensuring equipment is assembled, installed, and maintained to the highest standards, while also playing a key role in troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out pre-assembly of machinery within the UK workshop, ensuring all builds meet required specifications and deadlines
* Lead and support installation and commissioning activities at customer sites across the UK and Europe
* Provide both on-site and remote technical support
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding, and repairs
* Interpret and work from mechanical and technical drawings
* Plan and install PVC pipework systems as required
* Maintain workshop tools and ensure a clean, safe working environment
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, always representing the business professionally
* Ensure all work complies with health & safety standards, including completing risk assessments and method statements
* Complete service reports and maintain accurate technical documentation
* Support design and development improvements in collaboration with engineering teams
* Provide guidance and training to customers or junior staff when needed
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, apprentices, and subcontractors
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience in a field service or engineering environment
* Level 3 qualification in an engineering discipline (preferred)
* Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics and pneumatics
* Experience working with pumps, filtration systems, or PVC pipework is advantageous
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Hands-on experience with maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
