Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks Part-Time Clinical Nursing Faculty interested in teaching with our BSN Nursing program at the Tyson's Corner VA campus.
On-site: You will mentor students in person at inpatient clinical settings throughout the Virginia, Maryland, or Washington DC areas. Clinical sessions are typically scheduled for one 8-12 hour shift; weekdays, weeknights, or weekends for an 8-week session at a clinical partner site in the tri-state area.
No teaching experience is required; nurses with solid clinical experience and a completed MSN are encouraged to apply. We are currently accepting applications to meet potential future needs in the following areas of specialization:
* Adult Health I & II (Med-Surg)
* Advanced Adult Health (Med-Surg)
* Complex Health (Critical Care)
* Community Health
* Capstone Final Practicum
* Fundamentals
* Maternal Child
* Mental Health
* Pediatrics
Responsibilities:
* Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service.
* Plan clinical experiences, supervise, and evaluate nursing students providing care to individuals or groups.
* Be available to staff at clinical agencies.
* Evaluate and provide feedback on student performance based on course objectives.
* Maintain current knowledge of agency/clinical policies and procedures.
* Develop and assign clinical tasks suited to students' knowledge and skills.
* Correct and return student work promptly.
* Contribute to program development and evaluation.
* May teach didactic content under supervision.
* Report issues to the course coordinator and collaborate with faculty and staff to improve student satisfaction.
* Participate in assessment, retention, and policy implementation.
* Serve as a professional role model and utilize relationship skills for group problem solving.
* Comply with all regulations and policies.
* Report to the dean or assistant dean; course coordinator provides oversight.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Master's (MSN) or doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
* Unencumbered nursing license in the state where clinicals are scheduled.
* BLS Certification.
* At least two years of recent professional clinical experience as a registered nurse.
Additional Information:
Position pay ranges from approximately $1,120 to $7,245 per assignment, depending on education and experience. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as course type, experience, location, licensure, and departmental budgets. We are happy to discuss salary requirements.
